Filter rim is in good condition. Smooth focus, all the way. It feels like quality lens.

Nikon 300mm F/2.8 Ed Telephoto Lens
This is one of nikon’s finest lenses, a super fast telephoto with incredible resolving power and clarity. This lens is in fine optical and mechanical condition. There is very light internal dusting which does not affect the image quality. The aperture setting is positive without being over stiff or slack. The focus stop operates positively as does the tripod collar rotation setting.
The integral lense hood extends and folds away. The rear filter holder is in place. The lens is ready to use. This is the ed version. You will see from the pictures that the lens shows significant signs of cosmetic wear with several dings and dents to the hood in particular.
This is the condition i bought the lens in some 5 years ago, it had obviously been well used, but it is in fine operating condition. This is a real opportunity to own one of nikon’s finest lenses at a fraction of the new cost.

This used nikon, nikkor af-s 300mm f2.8 g ed vr swm nano lens is in very good condition with some superficial wear marks and scratches around the lens barrel. Also the rubbber rings on the outside are showing some discoloration from normal use. These can be easily replaced inexpensively by nikon if you are picky about cosmetics, etc. Front and rear optics are in great condition, clean and clear!
Inside optics have a few dust tiny specks but this is no way will affect your images or the operation of this great lens, we tested it and it performed great! Aperture blades are clean and very responsive.

Tamron Sp 300mm F/2.8 LD Model 107b Nikon Mount Lens
This hard-to-find lens is in good used condition. I picked it up from a photographer that was retiring. It has a nikon mount and a nice padded case as seen in the photos.
I found a small scratch on the face of the lens as seen in the last photo that shouldnât affect performance at all from everything i have read. The white paint is chipped off in small spots mostly on the sun shield.
There is no lens fungus, misaligned elements, dust, chips, gouges, cracks or element separation the best i can determine and mechanically working fine. It weighs about 7&1/2 lbs in the case. Tamron sp 300mm f/2.8 ld (non-if) model 107b: the model 107b is the original version of tamron’s sp 300 f/2.8 which was introduced in 1983.
It was beautiful, expensive and is very rare since so very few were made during its one year production run. It does not feature the internal focus (if) found in the later versions of this lens, but features very robust construction and is slightly heavier.
This rare lens was finished in gloss white, is a very good lens for low light telephoto work, and is highly sought after as a collector’s item. This lens also features a spherical aberration compensator group (the cemented doublet in the middle of the lens) which assures crisp images even at close focus distances. Minolta Maxxum Af 300mm F2.8 Apo/9/7d/sony Alpha/used
Minolta maxxum af 300mm f2.8 apo/9/7d/sony alpha/used. Minolta maxxum high speed af 300mm f2.8 apo telephoto lens. This lens is for use on all minolta maxxum and dynax af slr cameras, both film and digital. It will also work on the sony alpha dslrs.
While this lens has seen considerable use during its life, the glass is still very good. There is a barely visable faint scuff on the front element, which we tried to photograph, but were unable to get it to show up. There is no fungus or haze between the elements either. There are a few small dust particles between the elements, which can be expected for any used lens. There is some wear to the tripod mount area and the tripod collar in general, this is cosmetic as it does function correctly.
There is also some scuffs and wear to the lens mount, but it too locks on the body properly. Some paint is peeling on the focus ring cover. While the built in shade is a little loose, it does lock into place in the extended posttion securely. The auto and manual focus function smoothly and the apeture blades open and close quickly and are free of oil. There is some tape residue on the white barrel, and it may look somewhat cosmetically better with a good external cleaning.
The filters are all clean, and scuff free. The trunk case has been fairly used, although it too would clean up nicely. Comes with minolta front and rear lens caps and trunk case. Also included are 6 42mm filters red, orange, yellow, normal, nd 4x and 1b skylight.

The hood has some issues. Previous owner had problems of some sort and he glued the locking button down.

Nikon Ed 300mm F2.8 D If Af-i Nikkor Near Mint
Unfortunately i no longer have a need for it, and it’s far too good a lens to just sit around and not be used. If you are a keen amateur (or professional) who wants the ultimate image quality in a superfast telephoto, then this is the lens for you. The lens was bought new in the uk in 1992, and i have owned it for the last 5 years. I bought it mainly to photograph sports, but it is actually much more versatile than that.
It has been treated with the utmost care and respect and is in simply outstanding condition – you will not find a better example of this model. The glass is completely free of dust, haze, fungus or scratches and cosmetically and mechanically it is at least 9/10. The only imperfection i could see on it are a couple of scratches around the tripod mount, which are to be expected, as this is a heavy lens. To use it successfully you will need a tripod or monopod, though i can tell you it handles brilliantly on a monopod. It is perfectly balanced, and the mount rotates and locks, making it easy to switch between portrait and landscape modes.
Included are all the items shown. Af-i nikkor ed 300mm f/2.8d if lens, serial number 201404. Nikon ct-304 lockable hard case, with 2 original keys and carry strap. Nikon hk-19 lens hood, nikon leather lens cover, nikon lf-1 rear cap and lens carry strap. Nikon l37c uv filter in drop-in mount.
Nikon c-pl2s circular polarizing filter in rotating drop-in mount. Domke bag, which will hold the lens with body mounted, as well as spare lenses, teleconverter, etc.
Some details on the lens itself. Aperture range: f/2.8 to f/22. Lens construction: 11 elements in 9 groups. Dimensions: 250mm long, 124mm diameter.
Focusing is switchable between full automatic, full manual and automatic with manual override. Focus can also be locked by holding any one of the buttons near the front of the lens.
Focus seek range can be limited to near or far, or can be unlimited, as required. As this is the internal-focus version of this lens, it is very quick to focus, even on a mid-range body (i have a d200). Only the current af-s version would focus faster.
Please contact me to get an exact cost, as it will not be cheap, since this is a large, heavy item. Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions and i will be happy to answer them. Finally, words are not sufficient to describe just how good this lens is, so here are an assortment of photos that i have taken over the years. You will see that not only is this a sensational lens for sports, but that the shallow depth of field and soft bokeh also work beautifully for portraits. The lens also works extremely well with a teleconverter.
The few times when 300mm has not been long enough, i have added my 1.4x teleconverter to turn it into a 420mm f/4, with virtually no loss of quality (see comparison below). It’s also worth pointing out that the panorama image below is a 90 megapixel monster, stitched together from about 40 individual photos, and that the car and chimney pots in the cropped photos are well over 100m away. And since my d200 is only 10 megapixels, using a newer, higher resolution body should give even sharper results.
