Nikon Af Nikkor 85mm F/1.8d 85/1.8 D Lens +filter+hood
Nikon af nikkor 85mm f/1.8d 1.8 d lens. The lens has been treated with care. Compact and light, but takes sharp, contrasty photos. Iâve found it great for candid portaits, formal portraits, and landscapes and street shooting when i want a narrower field of view. One of the sharpest telephotos nikon has made. A superb lens in every respect. Â iâve just finally decided to sell off my gear. Works well with digital or film, in auto or manual focus.
The body is outstanding: no scratches, scuffs, dings, or discolorations, etc. The most you could say is that in close light, you could probably tell it isnât new from the box. The focus and aperture rings turn smoothly, with no play.
The aperture blades are clean and free from oil. The glass looks great, no scratches, no haze/clouding, no micro-scratches, no fungus. The supplied nikon l37c filter has always been on the lens and is also free of any of the above, and the coating looks clean. Nikon auto focusing (af) system. 6 elements in 6 groups.

Nikon Af Nikkor 85mm F/1.8d Lens - Current Model
Current model - nikon af nikkor 85mm f/1.8d. The front element has has always been covered with a uv filter, keeping it in pristine condition. Included with the lens is the original front and back caps, as well as the original hood.
The lens is in mint condition, but there is a very tiny ding in the hood (replaceable metal accessory hn-23), see photo. I only noticed it when inspecting for this sale, so you can rest assured it is purely cosmetic and does not have any impact on the operation of the lens or the screwing or unscrewing of the hood.
On a dx body this lens gives a 35mm equivalent focal length of 127.5mm, making it perfect for portraiture or short telephoto work. It has the covering power for fx, so very versatile in combination with the presence of the aperture ring. This is also a very compact solution, making it ideal for hand held or discrete shooting, and also keeping your packing weight down when travelling or on assignment.
