This an excelent example of the nikon nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 g if-ed af-s vr zoom lens. The lens works perfectly with both manual and auto-focus as well as auto focus over-ride and is sharp as a tack.
This lens will work on both dx format bodies as well as fx format on which it is unsurpassed for quality. Both the focus ring and the zoom ring operate very smoothly and with great responsiveness. The autofocus is very fast due to this lens having a silent wave motor and it is perfectly accurate. Everything on this lens performs exactly as it should do, which is quite spectacular as lenses go. There is no reserve price. The glass is perfect as i have always kept a uv filter on when in use. As well as the soft case and box. The glass and entire lens are very clean.

Nikon nikkor af-s vr 70-200mm f2.8 g if-ed. Yes this is the real deal nikkor lens. It is the best lens i ever owned. I used to take sports photography as my son grew into a football star.
His career was over before i could afford this lens. It is a closet lens with very little use. We continued on with wedding and portrait work and this is not the lens for that.
It is the lens for stopping action at indy, nascar, swim events, football etc. It is a 2.8 lens with all the nikkor fast focus features. It is the usa version.
All the books, paperwork, box, front and rear cap, shade and travel bag are included in the listing. Is a link to this lens on b&h today. Important notice on my listing. Version 2 lens which came out in 2009. I appologize for any confusion i have caused.

Nikon Af-s Zoom-nikkor G If-ed Vr 70-300mm F/4.5-5…
This is my personal lens, used with my d700 which is for sale in another listing. It has been a fantastic lens. I was way more impressed with it than i expected to be. It is definitely a sleeping giant. Although compact and light enough to fit in my bag, it has a large zoom range and very effective image stabilization.
I found myself commonly shooting at 1/30sec with this lens. It is very comfortable to carry around whenever i was out with just my camera and one lens.
Plus i could put a couple of single focal length wide angle lenses in my pockets, and i’d have full coverage. It is perfectly suited to an fx or a dx camera, or even a film camera which can use g type lenses. It is nicely sealed, even at the lens mount. The finish is very nice, and matches that of modern nikon digital slr’s. You will find many positive reviews of this lens on line if you look. Here is one from a tester whom i enjoy and respect. I bought the lens new from adorama in october 2009 and haven’t used it since july of last year. So i used it for about 9 months altogether. Nikon gear is a very good investment, especially af-s lenses for the fx format. Lens is in mint condition; t.
He front lens cap has some scratches on it, so i have rated the package mint-. The only other signs of use are on the hood and on the bayonet mount for the hood.
I always used the hood on the lens, so was frequently reversing it for storage, removing and remounting it, etc. There are no scuffs or scratches on the lens, no dents dings or cracks. The glass appears as new.
The switches, zoom, and focus rings work smoothly. The aperture blades are clean and snappy.

I don’t need to ramble about the specs of this lens if you’re already looking, see. What you should know about this lens.
¢basic testing shows focus points and elements appear to be sharp (see samples). ¢vr basic testing, gyro is audible and appears to work fine (see photo with downpipe 1/30 sec vr 200mm). ¢overall cosmetic condition from average distance (few metres) seems fine.
¢if you need an upgrade from the older 80-200, this will be a great option. ¢quick release tripod foot is missing. ¢various marks on lens casing (see photos).
¢light scuffing on lens hood (see photos). ¢piece of dust within elements (see photo) but does not seem to affect images. Though i endeavour to deliver an accurate description of this lenses cosmetic and working condition, it is not always easy to convey a completely accurate description. All sales are final and funds are non refundable. Every time i’ve had to post a lens to germany, it is held for weeks (sometime months) before being delivered.

Nikon Af-i Nikkor 400mm F/2.8d If-ed No Reserve!!!
Up for sale is a nikon (nikkor) 400mm ed af-i f/2.8 d lens in excellent condition. It comes with a very nice ct-401 hard case, rear cap, front lens cover, lens hood (hk-20), lens strap, case strap and original filter holder.
The filter holder works but is missing the screw on knob as seen in the photos. Puchased from original owner in 2001, it has been gently used and well cared for. There are minor cosmetic scratches on the barrel as shown but this lens has never been dropped or abused. It is missing the knob on the filter holder as shown. Also note the tripod mount/carrying handle has three mounting holes. All photos are of the actual lens. Autofocus is fast and almost silent and shifting from auto to manual focus is smooth and quick. Focus can also be manually fine tuned while in autofocus mode. This is a well balanced lens, making it ideal for many applications, including sports, fashion, and wildlife photography.
This is a nikonusa lens, not gray market. Also the lens had maintenance cleaning by authorized nikon service this year.
The beautiful, crisp images it delivers are without peer, making this lens a valuable asset to any photographer. The action photos shown were taken with this lens on the nikon d3 and d2h. See ken rockwell’s review for insight into how good this lens is. He calls it the king of the lenses. To paraphrase some of his comments, the lens works perfectly on every nikon. It works perfectly on every. Digital nikon, even the cheapest d40 and d3000.
Every recent af film nikon f100, n80, f4, f5, f6, etc. Perfectly on every manual focus nikon made since 1977. Pre-1977, pre-ai cameras will need a coupling prong added to the lens’ aperture.
