This is the outstanding carl zeiss 50 f1.4 planar t ae lens made for the contax. It became the exemplar against which other standard lenses were tested. This is a breathtakingly sharp lens. Than the later, warmer mm type. This lens is in excellent condition. The glass is free from haze, fungus or separations. There are some tiny micro-scratches in the coating of the front element but they’re too small to photograph easily and will have absolutely no impact on photographs. The aperture blades are oil-free.
Focusing is smooth and positive. The cosmetic condition is also very good as can be seen in the photos, with no dings or dents – there’s a tiny bit (about 4mm long) of paint loss on the very edge of the lens mount which i mention for completeness – it’s hardly noticeable and can’t be seen with the lens attached to the camera.

Zeiss 85mm F1.4 Planar Contax Lens + Adapter Canon Eos
This is breaking my heart! This is the first lens i ever bought. That was 30 years ago. Soon after i bought a rollei system and so rarely used my contax. But i loved this glass and it grieves me to see it go. I have used it again recently on my canon. It is great but hard to focus at 1.4. It is not a lens for shoddy photographers! It comes with the adapter and a lens shade.
It is the german built lens, by the way. The condition is not great. This lens is 30 years old!
There is some dust between the elements. Don’t ask me how it gets there! Some very faint marks/scratches on the front element.
None of this makes a difference to the lens. When you get it in focus it is sharp. Like most zeiss it benefits from stopping down a stop or two. You will love this lens.

Contax G2 + Zeiss Planar T* 2/45 45mm F/2 45/2
Contax g2 (silver) in very good user condition + the legendary zeiss planar 2/45 t. Few scuffs on the camera, especially on the back (mainly from the strap rubbing). Af system windows clean, perhaps few microscopic marks are present – almost invisible – and not affecting the operation.
The lens’ glass is crystal clear, no marks or scratches, few barely visible dust particles inside. The blue residue visible on the lens mount has been originally applied in the factory. Extras: the original box for the camera, instruction manual not a photocopy!
